- by Marlene:

Here's another installment of your American Legion, Jack Henry Post #1 November/December Newsletter Online. I see the "hit" numbers are rising, so people somewhere have been looking at this site!

As a reminder in case this is your first time seeing this website - this is a dynamic informational tool that can be used not only when you are at home but when you are traveling to keep you updated on what's happening at your home Post. All you need is a computer and knowledge of the website location which is www.orgsites.com/ak/jackhenrypost1

We encourage you to share our website with your friends, family and acquaintances so that they can keep abreast of events and activities at Post #1.

We'd like to personalize this website a lot more with pictures of events that happen at the Post. Did you take digital pictures of any ceremony or special event? Please send them to me and we can add slideshows to the website for everyone's enjoyment - near and far! Just click on my name in the far left column and then attach the pictures you have taken.

Probably one of the most important functions this online newsletter has is the calendar to keep you on schedule so that you don't miss any of the great dinners and most importantly, so that you attend all the business meetings of your Post. Without your faithful attendance, there just wouldn't, couldn't be a Jack Henry Post #1.

Today's Tips:
1. Anything listed in the left hand margin of this homepage that is underlined will take you (or in computer terminology, "Link") to another section or website. Just put your cursor over the lined item and click on it. Then discover new information.

2. If you click on "Click Here for Full Calendar" you will see the current calendar with more detailed information. To see the next month, click on the arrow at the top right corner of the calendar. You can even print out the calendar following the instructions at the bottom of it.

3. To send an email to me, you can click on my name in the margin at the left of this page, or you can go to the very bottom of the page and Contact us here: by typing in your question, concern or feedback and additional information it requires.

The last I heard, we were chomping at the bits to hear your feedback. We'll all be eager to include any information that you would like to share with the Post membership - just submit it to the appropriate department leader by their designated deadlines - then check in online for the latest and greatest news.

You can also provide feedback at the bottom of the webpage. There is a block to contact us through. Just type your message, submit it and the appropriate person(s) will get back to you. While you're at it, add yourself to our email mailing list and we will send you notification when the website has been updated.
Web-sincerely,
Marlene
