Ingleboro' - The Return
Sunday the 11th of September - time for the annual dawn raid.
After last years epic battle with the elements(click here )we decided to climb Ingleboro' again-
only this time we'd remembered to order the sun.
Fifteen of us left Ingleton centre at 5am and managed the climb to the summit for 6:20.
Sunrise was 6:30am, and although it was a bit cloudy our efforts were rewarded with clear views
over the dales and out to the lake district and Morecombe Bay.
The long descent was fun and a welcome rest after carrying the bikes up the last bit to the summit
Then it was time for return leg under the Ribblehead viaduct and over Twissleton Scars.
At the end of it all we all tucked into a hearty 'cavers' breakfast back in Ingleton.
