Red Hat Society "Where there is fun after 50 (and before) for women of all walks of life. We believe silliness is the comedy relief of life and since we are all in it together, we may as well join red gloved hands and go for the gusto together"
When I was in my younger days, I weighed a few pounds less.
I needn't hold my tummy in to wear a belted dress.
But now that I am older, I've set my body free:
There's the comfort of elastic where once my waist would be.
Inventors of those high-heeled shoes my feet have not forgiven.
I have to wear a nine now, but used to wear a seven.
And how about those pantyhose..They're sized by weight, you see.
So how come when I put them on the crotch is at my knee?
I need to wear these glasses as the print's been getting smaller;
And it wasn't very long ago, I know that I was taller.
Though my hair has turned to gray and my skin no longer fits,
On the inside, I'm the same old me, its the outside's changed a bit.
They say a lady who tells her age will tell anything else.
Never lose your sense of humor. The happiest people are those who are able to laugh at themselves.
Life is too good to last forever. Its up to you to make it sweet.

Ladies age 50 or older must wear red hats with purple outfits unless it is their birthday month, in which case they get to reverse the colors - Purple hat w/red outfit.
Ladies under age 50 must wear pink hats with lavender outfits. They may reverse their colors as well for their birthday month. We call this group Pink Hatters.
We approach aging with gusto, creating friendships and making ourselves important to us.

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe.
She had so many headaches she didn't know what to do.
One morning she had a revelation,
She needed an outlet for relaxation.
Ah Ha, said she, I know what will help me,
She got online and joined the Red Hat Society!
Later that day she heard such pitter patter,
The door sprang open,...look, a red hatter!
Won't you come out and play with me?
Who knows, we may even have tea, said she!
Now the old woman is happy and carefree
and advises all to join the Society!
