What a great party! Our 30-year class reunion was held on the 11th of October 2008, and we had a good turnout! There were over 40 of our classmates who attended with spouses and guests. The reunion was held at the beautiful, Enterprise Country Club. Stacey Sparkman, Danny Dicus (Class of 79), and Lester Meredith (Class of 81) played all the old goodies and the proceeds they made went to the SOS Animal Shelter. Thanks guys for supporting our class AND making a difference!

Awards were presented to Stu Martin-traveled the farthest; Kummel Flemming-most children (4); Donna Parker-married the longest (to same spouse 28 1/2 years); Debbie Sunbrock-most grand children (2); and Kevin Price-youngest child. We also gave out door prizes from Martin Colley Drugs, Mellow Mushroom, Creekside Grill, and Schnitzelhaus.

The theme of the reunion this year was "Changes in Latitude." Joy Corbell created a great map with push pins that showed where our classmates now live. Mark Tinsley set up a lovely memorial table to recognize our classmates who are no longer with us. The biggest change in latitude for all of us was recognizing that life is short and friendships are important.

As in all successful events, it takes a lot of planning and hard work to pull it off. Our planning committee worked many long hours and we owe them a big thanks: Paul and Susan Russell, Nina Korges, Debbie Sunbrock, Joy Corbell, Donna Parker, Mark Tinsley, Nick and Kay Ciuzio, Donna Shimunek, Russell Quattlebaum and Jenny Edmunds.

To date, I have over 100 email addresses for our classmates. We had approximately 365 in our senior class. So where are those other 265 folks! Continue to spread the word of our email network and share our website with others. It's great to hear from classmates who haven't been in touch! As always, if you are changing your Internet provider, please send me a note with your new address so that we don't lose contact with you! Also, please ensure your Internet permissions allow mass email if you intend to remain on our contact list.
