Individual Memebership Application MS Word file
Membership is available to individuals who are actively employed in military comptrollership, as active duty or civilian personnel. Associate membership is available for persons who do not meet the qualifications but are employed in a related field. Employees of private sector companies who are interested in ASMC membership may join under the corporate membership program. (see below)
Application may be mailed - or faxed to 703-549-3181 if payment is by credit card. No e-mail or phone applications will be accepted.
Please allow two weeks for application processing, and four to six weeks for your new member kit. New members must allow fourteen business days for processing before utilizing member benefits.
Membership fee is non refundable and non transferrable. Online services will be available in mid - 2007.
Membership applications are also available by calling ASMC National Headquarters at (800)462-5637 or by contacting your local chapter. The types of memberships are:
Active Membership Active membership is available to persons who are or have been employed as professionals in the military comptrollership field. Dues for active membership are annual and are currently $26.
Life Membership ASMC, unlike many organizations, has a special road to life membership. You can only become a life member after 20 consecutive years of membership. This is done to place special emphasis on sustained support of the society. There are currently over 700 Life Members of ASMC. To these members we say congratulations and thanks for your support.
Associate Membership Persons who, though not qualified for active or life membership, are employed in a field related to military comptrollership field may become associate members. The dues structure is the same as active membership.
Corporate Membership Corporate membership is available for businesses interested in the military comptrollership field. Dues are annual and are $250, which includes one designee. Additional designees are $26 each. Corporate members receive all benefits of an active membership, as well as discounts for advertisements in the national journal and exhibit space at the national conference. Honorary Membership Honorary membership is awarded to persons making significant contributions to the military comptrollership field who are not eligible for membership or would not be otherwise expected to join the society through one of the other classes. Honorary membership is only awarded by the National Executive Committee. To submit an individual for honorary membership, complete an individual membership application (no fee required) with a cover letter stating the reqest for honorary membership and the reason behind the request.

ASMC provides many opportunities for you to demonstrate leadership. Although ASMC is not officially part of your chain of command, your demonstrated leadership abilities will not go unnoticed. Simply step forward and...
• Serve as a Chapter President or other Chapter officer. • Serve as the Program chairperson and develop a dynamic and innovative program. • Write articles for the Armed Forces Comptroller and/or the essay contest. • Serve on a chapter committee to share ideas and expand your circle of friends and contacts. • Develop or contribute to a unique and informative chapter newsletter. • Recruit new members to participate in ASMC activities.
Save Money
Being a member entitles you to discounts on registration fees for the national conference, as well as local training events and monthly luncheons. After two years of membership, you qualify to submit for the Members' Continuing Education Grant Program.
