Just to let you know, most of the chapters with the Red Hat Society have mascots. After we made our chapter official and I started watching and reading the Queen Mother Board on the Red Hat Society website, ( yes I am addicted to the QMB and proud of it), I saw all of the mascots that all the other chapters had. They had any where from bears to pigs to penquins all dolled up in their finest (purple and red of course) and I just thought well this is a little silly now so I will just not mention the mascot thing to my girls.

I continued to read the QMB and read about the silly mascots. Then one day it happened. I was in Walmart looking for a prize for my little granddaughter when all of a sudden their she was! The perfect mascot for our chapter. She was the cutest little doll. She so reminded me of us. She had this big ole mouth, weird looking eyes, big ole feet and her hair just stuck straight up. I knew that we had to have her.

When I picked her up and started to the check out low and behold her smile became wider. For some reason this little girl knew that she was in for the most fun she had ever had. No more hanging out at Walmart for this babe.

When we reached my house I made her some purple earrings and put them on her right away. Man she really liked them and wanted something else. I then found her a tiny red hat pin. I put it on her little purple shirt and I swear I kept catching her turning to look into the mirror. I then painted her a red hat, put purple ribbon and flowers on it and she was a doll!!

The next day I went and purchased her a little purple boa and tah dah!! I had created the cutest little floozie. You can just look at her and tell she thinks she is one fine chick.

She has been posing on my bed in my red hat room now for several days and I swear somedays when I get home, I can tell she has been rambling through my jewelry and playing and trying on my hats. She is something else.

I introduced her to the rest of the chapter last night at our get-to-gether and all of the girls loved her. She just sat there through the whole thing just as prim and proper as she could be.

We are all thinking of her a terrific name, so we are taking our time because it has to be special for such a special mascot. And of course she will have to approve it herself. She was so proud that everyone liked her. She will now be attending all of our events.

We still have to work on her hair a little and get her some pants but I have a feeling she's gonna make Cinderella look like nothing.

I will let you know as time goes on what she decides to have us call her and how she is fairing in her new life style.

LADY MEME

Our little mascot finally has a name that she approved of. It is "Luscious Lucy". Doesn't it just fit her? She is still so prissy. Just check out her picture on "Our Pictures" link on our front page.
