"The Peachy Red Hat Friends"

Welcome to our website for the "Peachy Red Hat Friends" We are an official chapter of the Red Hat Society. We were founded by our Queen Mother "Lady MeMe". We are located in Clanton, Alabama. We are just a bunch of ladies celebrating older age and living life to the fullest and having the most fun that we can. We get together the second Tuesday of every month at one of our homes and usually have another outing like shopping, dining out, or whatever we plan to have fun. We love to dress up and play. It lets that little girl in all of us out. Our only rule is to have fun. We also wear full regalia at each get-to-gether. This consists of red hats and purple clothing if you are 50 and over and pink hats and lavender clothing if you are under 50. Our chapter consists of both pink hatters and red hatters.

First get-to-gether Our first get-to-gether was on February 10, 2004. We met at Lady MeMe's house. Five ladies attended in full regalia. There were 3 "Pink Hatters" and 2 "Red Hatters". Since then we have grown to 16 members.

The Red Hat Mission
The Red Hat Society began as a result of a few women deciding to greet middle age with verve, humor, and elan. We believe silliness is comedy of life, and since we are all in it together, we might as will join red-gloved hands and go for the gusto together. Underneath the frivolity, we share a bond of affection forged by common life experiences and genuine enthusiasm for wherever life takes us next.

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple with a red hat that doesn't go and doesn't suit me. And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves... But maybe I ought to practise a little now?

Future Plans
Our biggest plan is to just have fun!!!!!! We will be attending a Redutante Ball in December. We will be going to a fashion show in February 2010. In March 2010 we will attend the Capital Caper in Tallahassee Florida.
