Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What areas does Safeplace serve?
A. Colbert, Franklin, Marion, Lauderdale, Lawrence, and Winston counties.
Q. How long may I stay at Safeplace?
A. Length of stay is based on the resident's need.
Q. What will it cost?
A. There is no charge for any of Safeplace's services, except for the batterer's intervention program.
Q. Who will watch my children so that I may go to work, etc?
A. Safeplace does not provide any childcare. You must make arrangements for babysitters away from the facility or after-school care. There is a children's program weekdays, 9-12 pm.
Q. Will my children be in the same room with me?
A. Yes, mothers and their children will share the same room.
