All Young Marine must first go through a recruit training program which is conducted over a period of time.Upon completion of this training, you earn the privilege of wearing the Young Marines uniform. This rigorous training period instills a sense of pride and personal accomplishment, which forms the basis of new found confidence and self-esteem.

Graduation Day, is always a proud and memorable day for every recruit, parent, friends and relatives, and on this day you earn the distinguished title-YOUNG MARINE. From this day forward, you join an esteemed group of young Americans who are making a difference in their lives, the lives of others, their community, and their country.

Young Marines make a pledge to maintain a drug-free lifestyle and are encouraged to influence family, friends, and schoolmates to share this commitment.

Young Marines participate in the training of the new recruits, go camping, hiking, visting historic sites, military bases, swimming, biking, and on encampments. An encampment is a gathering of several units to share what they have learned, test their skills and compete with other Young Marines.
