Certified Defense Financial Manager

The Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) certification is an exanimation-based certification developed by ASMC that covers the subject areas of account and finance, acquisition, budgeting and cost analysis and the resource management environment.  The examination is divided into four modules; the first three modules are mandatory and the fourth module (acquisition) is optional. 

 

The CDFM certification is open to civilian and military employees of the Department of Defense, employees of corporations doing business with the Department of Defense and resource managers from related government agencies, such as the U.S. Coast Guard.
