Commissary Kiwanis Club of Fort Smith

The Commissary Kiwanis Club of Fort Smith, AR is a service organization dedicated to serving the needs of the community and serving the children of the community and the world.

This Club is in the Missouri-Arkansas District (MO-ARK District)and is part of the Kiwanis International Organization which has clubs in over 96 countries. We are part of the worlds largest service organization.

Our Club meets at 7:00am each Thursday in the Holiday Inn, 700 Rogers Ave, downtown, Fort Smith, AR. For information, call 479-649-3091 or 479-484-5502. All correspondence should be addressed to: Commissary Kiwanis Club of Fort Smith, P.O. Box 8228, Fort Smith, AR 72902.

We are always looking for members who wish to serve their community but have limited time and think that serving the children of the world is a cause they wish to be part of. Guests are welcome each Thursday for our meetings and programs we have for each meeting.

Our Club provides "Tom Barr" annual scholarships within the community; we sponsor a Key Club at Southside High School and work with them as they volunteer to serve the needs of the community by visiting nursing homes, working with Habitat for Humanity, assisting the Clearing House Organization, ringing bells for the Salvation Army during the holidays and gift wrapping for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Our Club donates nearly $10,000 each year to non-profit organizations within the community that support the youth, inluding Tom Barr scholarships, scouts, children's shelter, Make-a-Wish Foundation, free medical and dental clinics, Hanna House, youth sports, and many other needs that are presented to the club each year for physical and monetary support.
