![]() We hope you will enjoy your visit with us as we celebrate life in our Big Red Hats! Our chapter was formed in 2004 with Connie Akridge as Queen mother. In July 2007 Queen Mum Connie passed the crown and scepter to Wanda Cook. Though Connie has taken leave of the duties of Queen, she will always be Queen Mum to all of the Concord Grapettes. It was through her efforts that our lives have been filled with the excitement of Red Hat Sisterhood! Our chapter has the honor of having as members Ms. Arkansas Red Hat 2006, Wanda Cook (also Chapter Queen) and Ms. Arkansas Red Hat 2007, Rosemarie Sample. Pictured are Rosemarie, husband Lynn, Wanda and husband Don. Although Red Hatting is about the sisterhood, the Grapettes often allow their men to participate in events (especially when there's heavy work to be done!) The first ever Ms. Red Hat/Pink Hat Pageant was hosted by the Absolutely Fabulously Friendly Little Rockers as a chapter event in 2006. Over 500 Red Hatters from all across the state attended the event held at Sherwood Forrest in central Arkansas. The event was such a success that the AFFLR's hosted again in 2007. The Concord Grapette Chapter hosted the Pageant as a Chapter Event on April 26, 2008. Nellie Yount from the Red Hot Trotters of Yellville was crowned Ms. Arkansas Red Hat 2008 and Susan Andrews from the Amazing Mad Hatters of Little Rock was crowned Ms. Arkansas Pink Hat 2008. The Concord Grapettes will sponsor the Pageant again in 2009 on Saturday, April 25. FOR MORE INFORMATION about the event CONTACT concordgrapettes@hughes.net 10. It just goes so well with purple. 9. as long as I can recall, I've loved women that were short and loved ones that were tall.
you could say I've met them all. I've tried blind dates and even went out with one whose number I got off a bathroom stall.
got turned upside down, When a group of beautiful women decided to come around.
and I've dated a few that were fat, But I never met a REAL woman till I met one in a RED HAT!
where the real women are, They're few and far between and they're wearing a RED HAT!
