Our "disorganization" was born February 14, 2005, in Gentry, Arkansas, and our goal is to celebrate life after 50! The founding members were involved in the education of Gentry children; therefore, we decided that The REDucators (Red-hatted educators) would be an appropriate chapter name. The Founding Queen Mother determined that The REDucators would also be open to ladies on the cusp of maturity (40 to 49 years of age).

Although we are The REDucators, our chapter is composed of both education and non-education members, some over 50 and some under 50. We have a variety of chapterettes, some of us wear red hats and purple outfits because we are already enjoying the fun that comes after 50, and some of us wear pink hats and lavender outfits because we have not yet reached an age of maturity!
