Labels & UPCs, Etc.

Please continue collecting Campbell’s product UPCs (the company wants barcodes now, not labels -- includes Swanson, Franco-American and Prego brands); Best Choice bar codes (soups, baking products, egg cartons, canned goods, pastas, rice, paper products and many other things — bar codes ONLY, please!); Box Tops for Education (found on General Mills products, including Betty Crocker & Pillsbury — please cut out ONLY the little square that says “Box Tops for Education”); and Tyson “Project A+” seals from Tyson’s breaded “ready-made” products.

We are also still collecting aluminum pop-tops from soda cans. These go to the Ronald McDonald House up in Springfield.

These items can be dropped off at the Post whenever the building is open.

Operation Toasty Toes

In November 2007, members of Unit 52 voted to officially take over Operation Toasty Toes Chapter 2 after the previous chairperson resigned.

Our mission is to knit or crochet cold-weather comfort items for deployed troops. In addition, we hope to begin crafting "cool ties" to send to them for use during the warmer times of the year.

Any assistance is welcome, and most gratefully appreciated! If you don't knit, crochet or sew, please consider making a monetary donation to help us pay for supplies and shipping costs.

For more information, including patterns and project guidelines, please visit Chapter 2's website.
