Pink Tucsons Mothers Day in D.C. Blog Read along as Nancy (Tucson) and Liz (Phoenix) travel to D.C. to participate in the 24 hour Mother's Day Vigil in front of (at Lafayette Park) the White House. The following embedded blog (which is almost impossible to read on this page -- click on the link above)was created for the January 2005 counter Inaugural actions but stops and starts according to whatever national actions in which Nancy or other AZ folk participate. When this blog isn't active you can find many CODEPINK related entries http://buildpeace.blogspot.com While not a CODEPINK blog as such... Nancy's blogs are always somewhat pink... ORIGINAL PREFACE TO THE BLOG Hey Folks. I'm Nancy, CODEPINK Tucson's Web Diva and Sometimes Disorganized Organizer. I will be driving across country from Tucson to DC to help provide an alternate view of King George the Incompetent's Coronation (aka Inauguration). I'm linking this LiveJournal Blog to this CodePink Tucson's website page -- but that is as far as the connection goes. Nothing I say in this Journal should be construed as reflecting anything other than the individual views of Nancy, an individual woman who happens to believe that CODEPINK captures the essense of what the world needs. Other CPT women might vehemently disagree with things said here because the wonderful thing about CODEPINK is that it brings together all sorts of women under the rubric of WOMEN FOR PEACE... plain and simple. CP (our CP not the "OTHER" CP - LOL) has no political or religious affiliation and all the local groups are just women building peace -- we aren't incorporaated, we aren't a non-profit organization, we are just women who work together, as women have always done (in the colloquial speech of my foremothers "to get what needs doing done." |
