FIZZY BUBBLESby Sunny LuLu aka Lucille Sunde
To the tune of Tiny Bubbles
Fizzy Bubbles is our Queen
Makes us feel happy, makes us serene.
As we crown her and surround her,
The fun we'll have will be a joy to all.
Desert Babes is our name
Wearing red hats is our game.
And in our windy town hang onto your hats
and don't you dare to frown!!
Fizzy Bubbles is our Queen
Makes us feel happy, makes us serene.
As we crown her and surround her,
The fun we'll have will be a joy to all.
Once Upon A Timeby Queen Karen Shulman
Butterfly Babes of Coconut Creek
Coconut Creek, Florida
Once upon a time
In the land of sea and sun
Groups of lovely ladies
Joined together to have fun
Purple clothing on their backs
Red hats adorned their hair
No matter where or when you looked
Folks saw them everywhere
"Why do they dress in that weird way,"
So many people thought.
"Is it a phase they're going through
Or just some bug they've caught?
When people come and ask us
Why we want to look this way
We stop and answer proudly
And this is what we say:
"Each of us has reached the age
Where women fear to go
That horrid, awful point in life
The dreaded big Five-Oh,"
"But we choose to celebrate our age
And welcome each new year
With laughs, and smiles and playfulness
But never with a tear."
Remember life can be too short
We don't know when it ends
Live each day with joy and love
And most especially with friends
Red Hat Society PrayerLoving Creator,
In your extravagance you have painted the world with bold strokes
and gloried in our differences.
When colors proclaim our uniqueness,
let our little eccentricities be expressions of our joy for living.
When our time together looks like a costume party,
let our gatherings be a time of genuine community.
Out of the abundance of your grace,
you have set before us only a small portion of your gifts
time
color
food
and compassion.
Bless our time,
Bless our joyful celebration of creative life.
And bless both the food we share
and those who labored so we might enjoy it.
Most of all, use us:
our flamboyance, our joy and our sharing
that we may be a blessing to all we meet.
Amen
