Preparing for our next trip to Guatemala, we are looking to take with us (or ship prior to leaving) some puppets that were donated and walkers for the kids at the rehabilitation hospital. They need the small walkers or the adjustable ones. We only have six, but probably will have to ship them...too much to fit in our luggage.
The box of six walkers and 20 puppets, along with 55 little home-made teddy bears, was shipped the week of August 18, and is expected in Guatemala City while we are there. Lord willing, we will be able to help distribute the contents ourselves.
Update: We returned from Guatemala September 10th, and did not see the box arrive at all while there. We just received word yesterday (September 16) that the truck was hijacked, the driver was assaulted, and all was lost. We estimate our loss alone was well over $1000 worth. It took two years to put together the walkers to send them for the children at the rehabilitation hospital, now I guess we start all over. Please hold this up in prayer with us.
