Pit Crew

This section is designed to be your central source of information for the Pit Crew activities during the 2010 marching season.

What We Do

There is a lot of work that goes into supporting the Ram's Marching Band: We help the Pit move their equipment to and from the stadium

At performance time we help the Pit move their equipment on/off the field

We set-up the Drum Major's field stands

On travel dates we pack, drive and unpack the following:

~ All Pit instruments and equipment

~ Drum line instruments and equipment

~ Tubas

~ Baritone saxophones

~ Field stands

~ Guard flags and props

~ Hat rack

~ Pit and Guard toolboxes

~ Extra water

Home Football Games

5:00 : Meet at the band room.

5:15 : Load instruments and equipment onto the carts and roll out to the stadium. If you help roll out to the stadium, you won't have to pay admission to the football game.

6:00 : Unload instruments as requested by the Pit leadership for warm-ups

7:00 : Football game begins

2nd Quarter : With about five minutes left in the second quarter, gather at the pit warm-up area

Half-time : Roll the instruments and equipment to the 50-yard line. When the band is ready, put the instruments/equipment on the sidelines. Enjoy the show! When the show is over, help the Pit and Guard move off of the field.

After the Game : Roll the equipment back to the band room.
