Oh my, my! 2012 is starting off right!...This town knows how to get down!!

We are excited to be out on the town and be part of the groove for some wonderful upcoming community events!!!

Community Food Bank Mardi Gras Fundraiser at The Manning House this Saturday, January 28, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Celebrate Mardi Gras 2012 with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona and King & Queen of Carnivale, Ron & Nancy Barber.  
Batucaxe' will play from 7 to 8pm and the help you celebrate with beats to dance to from 9 to 10pm!!
Tarot card readers, live entertainment by Zo Carroll and the Soul Breakers, Batucaxe, Flam Chen, and 80s and Gentleman. Enjoy a New Orleans style dinner and desert, cocktails, dancing, photo booth and mask raffle. More Info

Batucaxe' Performance Group Rockin' Club Congress!! Friday, February 3rd, 2012, doors open at 8pm
The evening begins with Spirit Familia! Then Batucaxe' takes the stage at 11pm to bring it on home with tunes to rock your soul and your body!! More Info

Centennial Soul Celebration at 2nd Saturdays Downtown Centennial Weekend, Friday, February 10th, 7 to 10pm
Centennial Soul Celebration – a celebration of African American music and culture. This high-energy concert is a celebration of African American music and culture produced by Southwest Soul Circuit. Enjoy Jazz, Blues, R&B, Gospel and Soul Music. Recording artists Kevin & Tanishia Hamilton are joined by various national performing artists. Free seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 6pm. Batucaxe performs at 8:30 to 8:45pm!!  More Info

2nd Saturdays Downtown Centennial Celebration, Saturday, February 11th, Noon to 10pm
The Centennial celebration continues as Batucaxe Community Group takes the Scott Street Stage from 4 to 4:45pm to get you dancing in the streets!!  Bring your dancing shoes and prepare to boogie!!! More Info

Afro-Brazilian Dance Classes, Every Sunday
With Live Drumming By Batucaxé! Every Sunday 5:00 to 6:15 pm

Classes are held at "Rhythm Industry," 1013 S. Tyndall Ave. (map)$12 Walk-in (always welcome), or prepay $40 for 4 weeks (use any time). For more information email dance@batucaxe.org.
