(6/15/08)Last day of school is Monday, June 16. Please have students wear their complete school uniform. Dismissal is after the 9:00 Mass. Summer study packets were sent home, please review during the summer. Thank you all for letting me spend a wonderful year with your children. They all hold a very special place in my heart.

(5/18/08) Congratulations! Everyone did a wonderful job dancing and they looked great in their outfits. Thank you!
May Crowning: 6th and 3rd grade are in charge of May crowning this Friday (5/23). Please have your child bring a flower for our morning assembly.

(4/27/08)Concert Under the Stars is on Thursday, May 15. Please let me know if your child cannot attend, so that it doesn't interfere with our performance. The theme is: Renaissance.
Costume Ideas: King/Queen, Prince/Princess, Lord/Lady, peasant, knight, court jester, or minstrel.

(4/24/08)One student is missing his peacock feather. Please ask your child if they mistakingly took someone else's. They need to return it.

(4/9/08) Our field trip is on Wednesday, April 23. Permission slips and money should be turned in as soon as possible. We will be leaving around 8:45 and returning around lunch time.



(3/30/08) Students should have their multiplication facts memorized by now. Please practice every day for about 10 minutes if they do not know them. Students should know the names and locations of all 50 states by the end of April. Please practice.
Handwriting: One page should be completed each night for homework.

3/18/08 Choir: The only choir practice for this week is on Tuesday after school. Tuesday, March 18 3:00-3:45
3/20/08 Living Stations presented by the 8th grade at 11:00. Noon Dismissal

Congratulations! Everyone raved how well the students did for our school Mass. They were very impressed with the reading, singing, and the respectfulness of all the students.

Friday, March 7 is our Third Grade Mass at 9:00.

Thursday 2/14 - Valentine's Day; please no goodie bags
Saturday 2/16 Third Grade Family Mass = 5:00 Mass; Please wear your uniform. We will try to sit altogether with our families.

No school on Monday, February 18, 2008 = Presidents' Day


Third Grade Parent Volunteers needed for Safety Drop-off for the Week of March 3.

Spelling Bee postponed to Monday, February 4 at 2:00.
Fat Tuesday (International Food Day) is on Tuesday, February 5. Tickets are $3.00.
Ash Wednesday is an all day retreat.
Good Touch / Bad Touch will begin this week.

Christmas Program on December 10 at 1:00 and 7:00pm. Students need to wear the school uniform to the 1:00 and for the 7:00 a white top, black pants or skirt, BLACK SOCKS OR MITTENS FOR HANDS TO BE SHEEP (We are not shepherds anymore.)

11/13/07 - Please return report card and signed envelope by Friday.
Tuesday: Picture Day - Students should be in full uniform, do not wear P.E. uniform.
Thursday and Friday: Noon Dismissal
Halloween: Please do not send treats for the class, they will not be accepted. The students will receive treats throughout the day. Costumes should be appropriate: no weapons, etc.

Our Goal = 100 summaries by the end of January. Scholastic has a program that will give 100 books to a needy school, if our class can read 100 books!

(10/2/07)Reading Logs were passed out on Tuesday, October 2. Students should be reading for at least 15 minutes a day. Please fill in all the information and return on October 31.
 
Tutoring(10/2/07)

Math tutoring will be after school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It will end at 3:20. If your child goes to Daycare, then I will walk them over.

3rd Quarter Reports Cards were handed out on Friday, April 18. Please return both the card and the signed envelope.
2nd Quarter Reports Cards were handed out on Tuesday, February 5. Please return both the card and the signed envelope by Friday, February 8.
