Over 100 Region III ACSA members and friends gathered at the Hilton Hotel in Sacramento on Wednesday evening, May 6, to honor aspiring administrators, retiring administrators, silver star recipients and administrators of the year. Joe Taylor, Region III Vice President, Programs, acted as master of ceremonies.
Dr. Virginia Dixon, Professor, Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, CSU, Sacramento, introduced the following aspiring administrators: Pamela Matlock, Damon Jamal Wright, and Julia Ntxaum Yang. Matlock, Wright, and Yang will receive Associate ACSA membership compliments of Region III.
The following retiring administrators were honored:
•Brenda Kendall, retiring from Twin Rivers Unified School District, 32 years in education
•Dee Orsburn, retiring from Twin Rivers Unified School District, 38 years in education
•Eddi Rains, retiring from Folsom Cordova Unified School District, 28 years in education
•Linda Walden, retiring from Folsom Cordova Unified School District, 41 years in education
•Alan Withers, retiring from Folsom Cordova Unified School District, 40 years in education

Congratulations to North Charter, San Juan Charter, and Yolo Charter! They each received $300 for increasing their membership 1%-4.99%. And congratulations to Capitol Charter who received $600 for increasing their membership 9%!
