The mission of ACSA is to ensure that all students have the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel.  On every school day throughout California dedicated educators and courageous students overcome tremendous obstacles to reach that goal.  Their success is our success, their powerful stories are our inspiration.

ACSA's Every Student Succeeding (ESS) program honors students who exceed our expectations and the educators who support them along the way.  We are proud to highlight these young men and women who have overcome great obstacles to succeed. They face life's challenges head on.  Their stores are remarkable and their futures are bright.

The Region will accept up to three nominations from each charter.  The three finalists from each of the charters will be honored at an award banquet on Wednesday, March 7, 2012.  Region III is proud to present to the top three finalist from each charter a monetary award.   Charters are encouraged to hold their own recognition event for all their nominees.  To help with a charter recognition event, Region III will reimburse up to $100 upon request.

BLUE MONDAY SOCIAL

MONDAY, JANUARY 30, 2012

Mark your calendars for Monday, January 30, 2012, for our annual *Blue Monday Social, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Vince's Restaurant, 840 Harbor Boulevard, West Sacramento.  A buffet dinner will be provided.  Each attendee will receive two drink tickets (well cocktails, wine, beer or soda).  Networking at 5:30, dinner served at 6:00 p.m.

*Blue Monday, the most depressing day of the year, is the name given to the Monday of the last full week of January.  (However, this year we are hosting our event on the last Monday of January!).    The date is calculated by using many factors, including weather conditions, debt level (the difference between debt accumulated and the ability to pay), time since Christmas, time since failing New Year's resolutions, low motivational levels, and feeling a need to take action.

Let's make January 30 a time to set the tone for a positive and productive 2012!
