JEFFREY H. WHITESELL - CAPTAIN
Jeff flies the Boeing 727 for Delta Air Lines as his "real" job.
Over 30 years in the aviation industry, he holds ATP (type rated in the CW-46, DC-3, DC-6, DC-7, M202/404, B-727, B-757, and
B-767); A&P mechanic; ground and flight instructor Glider/SEL/
MEL/Instrument certificates. He has over 15,000 flight hours.
Jeff will be your enthusiastic instructor should you choose to
participate in the Airliners of America Pilot Training Program.
Jeff lives in Camarillo, California.

JOHN DEAKIN - CAPTAIN
Number one on the seniority list with Japan Airlines, John flies
the international B-747 when not enjoying the soothing sounds of
radial engines. He is very active as an instructor and check pilot on
the Curtiss C-46, Martin 404, Douglas DC-3 and DC-4, North American B-25.
John now lives in Camarillo, California. He flew for Air America
during the Vietnam War.

GENE BLOCK - CAPTAIN
An MD-11 Line Check Airman for Delta Air Lines, Gene is rated in
almost everything. He owns and flies his Cessna 180 to remote
Idaho and Mexico from his homes in Evanston, Wyoming and McCall,
Idaho. He is frequently joined by his exhuberant wife, Mary, on
the airshow circuit. Gene proposed to her on board the N636X on
the way home from the El Toro Airshow in 1997.

KERRY BEAN - CAPTAIN
A Boeing 757/767 Check Captain for US Airways, Kerry resides in
Pennsylvania, and is the newest graduate of the Airliners of
America Pilot Training Program - receiving his Martin 4-0-4
type rating in April, 1998. A true radial enthusiast, he flew
the DC-3, Beechcraft B-18, and Curtis C-46 while building his
airline career.

CLIFF HERSEY - COPILOT
Air Show Coordinator for Airliners of America, Cliff owns and
flies his own North American AT-6 based at the Camarillo Airport.
Talk to Cliff (he's a realtor) if you want to move to "Radial
Country" - Camarillo, CA!

MARK RUSSELL - COPILOT
A United Airlines B-757/767 Captain, Mark "shares" a beautiful
Beech T-34 Mentor with his dad. He is also helping to rebuild
a North American B-25 with the CAF's Southern California Wing in
Camarillo in his spare time.

GEORGE HULETT - COPILOT
George flies the North American B-25 "Heavenly Body" on the
airshow circuit. He conducts formation flying clinics from
the Van Nuys, CA airport.

RANDY DETTMER - COPILOT
Randy, an experienced architect (AIA) from San Luis Obispo, CA,
is a member of the Airliners of America Board of Directors. He
is also an accomplished pilot holding Commercial SEL/MEL, Instrument and Instructor ratings. He frequently zooms into
Camarillo in his Aero Commander to fly the Martin.

MICKEY FOWLER - COPILOT
Mickey, from Tri-Cities, Tennessee, holds an A&P certificate
which he exercises with boundless enthusiasm. Currently a Douglas
DC-9 Captain with US Airways, he completed the Airliners of
America Copilot training program in April, 1998.

LARRY SIMMER - COPILOT
Larry is from Thousand Oaks, CA. He is a Project Manager who
builds e-commerce websites for companies in the new internet
economy. He can be found every Saturday working on the Martin -
shifting from i-speed to radial speed.
