Welcome To Antelope Valley React C040

         REACT International is a large non-profit public service Organization of individuals and local teams located throughout the United States. Antelope Valley React is a chartered team originally from REACT International in 1964. REACT strives for its members to take part in our community as well as surrounding communities. REACT is looking for dedicated and reliable people to join us in providing excellent service to our community and communities around us. React is famous for its life-saving services, monitoring HF Ham, GMRS/FRS, CB, and MURS frequencies with radio communications relaying reports of traffic accidents and other emergencies to the proper authorities.

OUR CONSTITUTION 

The strength of this nation lies in the determination and combined efforts of its people. In any emergency, the American Citizen is always ready and willing to help. We, as a volunteer group, known as Antelope Valley REACT are combining our efforts by being alert to any emergency that may arise at any time. We are proud of our organization, working hand-hand- across the nation with Civil Defense, Local, State and Federal agencies. REACT members are CERT Trained and ready to HELP. At no time shall Antelope Valley REACT discriminate against a member or applicant for membership because of race, color or creed.

Our mission is to provide public safety communications to individuals, organizations, and government agencies to save lives, prevent injuries, protect property and give radio assistance wherever and whenever needed. We will strive to establish a monitoring network of trained communicators using any and all available means to deliver the message. Antelope Valley REACT has pledged itself to be a unified group dedicated to being an asset to the community and to our country.

FUTURE EVENTS:
1.High Desert Australian Shepard dog show: Antelope Valley Fairgrounds, May 15, 16, 17 2009. Helped set up dog agility Equipment, food booth, Set up push up tents and Tear down and radio communications with crowd control.

2.Thunder On The Lot: June 13Th, & 14Th 2009 Car/bike & Big Rig show! React helped with set up Big Rigs show, parking Big Rigs, Registration with radio communications, Security for Erin Moran, "JOANY of Happy days.

3.4th of July Parade: July 4Th 2009. Parade(Theme) The Golden Years Of Acton. Starts at 9:00am. AV REACT won 2nd place Ribbon.

4. Bark at the Park: October 3, 2009. Working front gate and helping with raffle and silent auction.

5.Pearblossom Duck Races:October 4,2009 Setting up a booth selling raffle tickets for raffle drawing.

6.CALIFORNIA SHAKEOUT October 15Th 2009 This is going STATEWIDE NOW!

7.The Fall Century Bike RideOctober 17, 2009. Three rides starting at the same time 26 mile, 55 mile and 102 miles.

8.Wing and Wheels Chili Cook Off October 31, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.

9.CERT Refresher course November 15, 2009 10:00 AM at Lancaster City Park, Kliners Building.

There are Level Two CERT classes at the Red Cross in Palmdale, Ca at 2715 East Ave P call 267-0650.

Through all your generous donations in 2008 in our raffle and other fundraisers we were able to purchase a 128 channel GMRS/FRS Base for Emergencies through GMRSoutlet.com. This radio was badly needed and much appreciated. Thank you to all members and everyone that helped support Antelope Valley React.
