New_Logo_JPEG.jpgWHAT IS AV REACT ALL ABOUT?

Antelope Valley REACT was first chartered in 1970. REACT stands for Radio Emergency Associated Communication Team. Our purpose is to provide Emergency Communications during Emergencies and Disasters, utilizing Amateur Radio, General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) in the UHF band, and continue to monitor Channel 9 on CB as often as possible. The purposes for which this team is organized are charitable and educational, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, include the following:

To develop, promote, demonstrate and publicize the potential benefits and the proper use of the personal radio services to individuals, organizations, industry, and government as an additional source of communications for emergencies, disasters, and as an emergency aid to individuals.

MISSION STATEMENT

We provide public service communications to individuals, organizations, and government agencies to save lives, prevent injuries, and give assistance wherever and whenever needed within Los Angeles County and surrounding neighboring Counties. We strive to establish a monitoring network of trained volunteer citizen-based communicators using any and all available resources.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Antelope Valley REACT is actively seeking new volunteers. No experience is necessary, but you must have a willingness to serve the community. We are a non-profit 501 (c) (3) volunteer public service organization that serves the community by providing emergency two-way radio communications. We also work closely with local emergency agencies and help with traffic control at public events such as fairs, parades, bike rides, and walk-a-thons. Contact us and if you like, add yourself to our email list.
