Recent BergenMeisters Activities
Earl Nightingale once said, "People with goals succeed because they know where they're going." In our Toastmasters' club, we've discovered that is a true statement. Below are two BergenMeister members acheiving success and moving onward and upward to their next big adventure. |

Oh, Can You See . . . Pablo?
Pablo Castillo sings the National Anthem
Mild mannered Orange County program analyst Pablo Castillo belts out the National Anthem at a Los Angeles Galaxy professional soccer game for 22,000 fans at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
Castillo joined Toastmasters in August 2008 to gain confidence when he speaks to a group of people in a business setting and when he sings.
During club meetings he enjoys listening to
constructive criticism - for himself or others - like
the importance of eye contact, monotone voice
recognition and awareness of body language. Every tip can be applied to personal and
professional goals.
“While I was singing, I could hear my club members saying, ‘Stand straight, smile, be confident, hands to your side.’ Thank you
Toastmasters!”
Castillo is a worship leader at Templo Calvario in
Santa Ana, which is the largest bilingual Hispanic
Church in the United States. He is now working on his first solo album with a
Grammy nominated producer. | |
Luby Lifts Spirits at Nixon Library
Luby Hausmann sings at the Nixon Library
Our own Luby Hausmann was featured in the Yorba Linda Star newspaper while performing in a sponsored sing-a-long of Handel's "Messiah" at the Nixon Presidential Library and Museum, which was sponsored by the Yorba Linda Arts Alliance.
The event featured selections from the "Messiah," not the entire work, with each performance lasting about 75 minutes. About 300 people attended the event, according to a museum tally.
