Have you ever wondered how you could help the PTA? We have many parents in your same situation, who want to help, but just don't know how. Did you know that most of our volunteers work full time? There are many ways to help, without it taking hours and hours of your time. Even if you can only help on a committee, to plan something, most of the time that can be done via email, or a planning meeting in the evening. In addition to giving your time, there are other ways you can support the PTA and the school. Some of the ways to support the PTA are:
- Become a member
- There are a variety of benefits to becoming a PTA member. Benefits of Membership
- Membership is $6 per person.
- Make a Cash Donation
- We accept donations all through the year. Simply drop a check off at school in an envelope labeled PTA Donation. Some employers match contributions, so ask your employer if they will!
- All donations are tax deductible.
- Participate in Fundraisers
- Encourage your student to participate in every fundraiser, even if they only earn $1, it helps the PTA and shows School Spirit!
- Support the PTA while search the internet!
- Use the Good Search Internet Search Engine instead of Yahoo or Google! Everytime you perform a search, the PTA will earn money. If you shop online using the Good Search-Good Shop online store, then the school will earn a percentage of each purchase!

Escrip and merchant partners (Vons, Office Max, Big 5, Spencer's Fresh Market and over 700 Online stores including eBay, Staples.com, iTunes, Walmart.com and others*) have a system that rewards customer loyalty by contributing a percentage of purchases to Buena Vista PTA.
*Log onto e-scrip for a complete list of participating merchants in our area. All you need to do is register your merchant partner cards, debit card, Visa and MasterCards with escrip.

- The PTA is always in need of volunteers to help in a variety of ways. We need help at every function, event, and fundraiser. Parent involvement is crutial to the success of the PTA Mission.
- Please email us if you would like to help out. Any amount of help is appreciated. Even 1 hour a month of your time could make a difference. Would you like to pop Popcorn on Fridays? Would you like to help with refreshments at the next PTA Meeting? Would you like to help with our next PTA Event? Just let us know what you would like to help with, and we'll gladly work with you.

- A variety of products from cereal to Kleenex have “Box Tops” on them. Simply cut them out, and bring them to your child’s classroom. The PTA gets paid money for turning these in! How easy is that? Also you can shop online through the
BoxTops Marketplace and a percentage of your purchase will be credited to the school in CASH!
