Channel Islands Chapter

At present, the Channel Islands Chapter is comprised of Student Pilots and Flight Instructors as well as General Aviation, Corporate, Regional Airline, Major Airline and Military pilots. Ours is the newest chapter to join Women in Aviation, International and we welcome all aviation enthusiasts!

Our goal is to provide networking, programs that include local speakers, tours of aviation facilities, and eventually regional scholarship opportunities. We are also dedicated to community outreach efforts to encourage young people to pursue aviation careers, and to provide volunteer opportunities to our chapter members in order for them to become more marketable when applying for jobs and national scholarships.

WAI 2010 Conference

Taking place on February 25-27, 2010 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort Lake Buena Vista, FL (Near Orlando) is the WAI 21st Annual Conference.

With the theme of "Aviation - It's a Small World," participants in the 2010 WAI Conference will be immersed in the tactics and strategies necessary for successful aviation careers. More than 3,000 women and men from all segments of the aviation industry are expected to attend. We would like as many Channel Islands Chapter members as possible to attend! Chapter News
Suzi Swim and Jodi Lopez are leaving our area but not our chapter. We are very sad to see them go but they will continue to work with us while they are having fun in Salt Lake City and Sacramento. We wish them luck on their new adventures!

Chapter meeting on the islands!
We are headed to the islands for our next meeting. Half day boat trip out to Anacapa Island. Stay tuned for more information...we hope to see you there!
