To The Chief Of The Clan MacMahon
Warrants are a mark of recognition to people or companies who have regularly supplied goods or services to the Chief and the Clan. They have always been regarded as a mark of excellence and quality, and are highly prized.
Warrants are granted, usually for a period of five years, to a named individual within a firm, who must be an executive director or partner. This person, who is known as the Grantee, is personally responsible for ensuring that the Warrant is used correctly.
Warrant holders are allowed to display the Chiefs Arms together with the words ‘By Appointment’ on their stationery, buildings, vehicles, advertising and packaging. There are strict rules governing the use and display of the Chiefs Arms.
Reviews
Warrants are regularly reviewed and may be cancelled at any time. They are automatically reviewed if the Grantee dies or leaves the business, or if the firm goes into liquidation or is sold. All Warrants, are automatically reviewed by the Chiefs Office one year before they are due to expire. As part of the review, firms are asked to provide evidence of the goods and services they have supplied to the Chief and Clan over the past four years.
Any business who wishes to be considered for a grant of warrant, must contact the Clan Association to be reviewed by the Chiefs office on warrants, all final decisions will be made by the Chief himself.
