Lucille Ball a signé un contract avec RKO. Elle a jouer dans des petits rôles, comme dans les films «Top Hat» en 1935. Après elle a eux des rôles dans des «B-pictures», puis juste après elle a reçue des rôles pour des «A-pictures» comme le film «Stage Door» en 1937 et le film «Big Street» en 1942. Pendant qu'elle filmait «Too Many Girls» en 1940.

Lucille Ball et Desi Arnaz

En 1940, elle a tomber amoureuse de Desi Arnaz, un jeune Cuban acteur-musicien. Tandit que la différence de personnilité, religions et l'âge (il était 6 ans plus jeunes). Il a tomber amoureux lui aussi de Lucille Ball. Les deux sont marrié, en novembre, en 1940.
