CUB SCOUTING - A PARENT'S CALL TO ACTION
As parents, we want our children to have the benefit of good, wholesome, educational and enriching experiences. We choose to involve our sons in Scouting as one way of helping them to grow. Our Pack and dens rely on parent volunteers to organize and run activities for our boys. Every year, as boys and their parents move on to Boy Scouts, new parent volunteers are needed.
Volunteers govern the Pack, plan the annual calendar of events, track Scout advancement and support the Cubmaster. It takes many individuals in a variety of positions! Some positions can be shared to lessen the work. We realize that our parents work, volunteer at school, coach team sports, run a household and make time for their kids. If we share the tasks of running the Pack, we can keep it going without overburdening any one person.
Read through the open positions and descriptions below and decide how you can help Pack 393. You will benefit from meeting new people and working to build a stronger Pack, and your son will benefit from your involvement in his Scouting experience.
Most positions require attendance at Pack Committee meetings. These occur once a month for about an hour. All parents are welcome at these meetings, even if they don't hold an "official" Committee position - the meetings are where we plan activities for our boys.
Please speak with Cubmaster Bernie Del Rosario or with one of the Committee members about your area of interest. Don't miss out on the opportunity to make a difference!
JOIN THE FUN! It is worth the smile on your son's face!
