We will also learn about writing descriptively, nouns, story elements, sentence structure and using punctuation correctly. We will learn how to represent and recognize numbers on a ten-frame in math. In social studies, we will learn about our world and our country as we study maps. We will also learn about Veterans’ Day and begin learning about Thanksgiving. First grade earned $138 in quarters for the children of Uganda and Thailand. Great job to all children and parents who sent in quarters!

Please stop by the classroom to sign-up to donate items or serve and clean-up at our Thanksgiving celebration on Monday, 11-22-09 at 11 a.m.

Please send in extra Halloween candy for the 5th grade service project Operation Gratitude. They will be sending the candy overseas to our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.
