![]() We have not set a day to get together yet so let let me know which days you would like. We have had alot of fun but now we are really ready to tear things up. If you are looking for a group and need help locating one feel free to email us and I will gladly get you directed in the right path as no sister should be left behind. The Red Hat Society is a disorganization of women over fifty years of age (and those waiting to be fifty). Inspired by the poem Warning by Jenny Joseph, Sue Ellen Cooper got a group of older women together for tea in purple dresses and red hats that didn't suit them. Red Hat Society chapters started springing up all over the states. Queen Sue Ellen Cooper became the Exalted Queen Mother. Founders of individual chapters are referred to as the Queen Mum. As the poem states, the older women wear purple outfits and red hats. They are referred to as "red hatters". The ladies in waiting wear lavender outfits and pink hats. They are referred to as "pink hatters". The fiftieth birthday is very special and honored in the Red Hat Society. The only qualification to join is a strong spirit and a positive outlook on the "golden years". | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

THE RED HAT ME |
Red Hat Pledge I, (your name), do solemnly swear on my hat that I will do my best to uphold the spirit of the Red Hat Society. I will greet middle age with verve, humor and style. I will take my silliness seriously as it is the comic relief of my life. In the Spirit of Sisterhood and Friendship, I join with my Red Hat and Pink Hat sisters as we go for the gusto together. Beneath our frivolity we share a bond of affection, common life experiences and a genuine enthusiasm for life and living. I promise to regularly practice having fun and to do the things I have waited to do. I promise to openly and knowingly fraternize with other Red Hatters. . ![]() Come Join Us

Requirements of Members Everyone must agree to wear the proper clothing denoting her membership at each event. Red and Purple if she is 50 or over and Pink and Lavender if she is under 50. Those under 50 are known as pink hatters or ladies in waiting. We are really looking for more members, we accept both working and non-working ladies and we go to events during the day as well as night time and on weekends. I am sure there will be fun things for everyone. |
