One of the best things about Jamestown PTO is that there are no membership dues to pay... you're automatically a member of our organization as soon as you enroll your child at Jamestown School!

So, what's our Mission Statement?

The relationships within the Jamestown Community, which includes students, teachers, staff, parents, and patrons, are a vital influence on the success of our children's futures. Therefore, our mission is to foster a sense of support, pride and enthusiasm. Through fundraising and family activities, we will promote positive school/community relationships that enhance our children's educational environment.

And what does that mean? To put it bluntly, the students of Jamestown School are very important to all of us... parents, teachers and staff. We want to see them succeed, and we're there to help. There are lots of ways to be involved, even if you can't make it to school during the day to volunteer. Any Executive Board Member can tell you how!

We're also very excited to share our website! We created this site to make it easier for you to contact us and easier for us to keep you informed of our activities at Jamestown School. (We know those handouts never make it out of the backpack sometimes!) Here, you'll find a calendar of our events and our contact information.

Each fall, PTO holds a fall fundraiser; this year, we will be selling Little Caesars Pizza Kits. Look for packets towards the end of September.

Scholastic Book Fairs are the perfect place to purchase age-appropriate books for all grade levels.

Harvest Festival is the highlight of fall! Costumes, games, foods and FUN!! Held at the end of October on school grounds.

General Mills Box Tops are easy to find and collect. They're on General Mills, Pillsbury and other products that we all buy! We get 10 cents for each one we send in, and they add up fast! We made over $250 last year.

Red Ribbon Week, Kinder Registration and Citizenship Reward Parties. PTO provides personnel and financial support for these activities throughout the year.

Staff Appreciation Week is set aside in May to honor our staff. This is a fun week for us to recognize the importance of our staff members in our children's education.

Family Event Nights are held throughout the school year. These events are fun and usually free.
