ANGER MANAGEMENT FOR JUVENILES

Adolescent anger management is becoming more prominent in our society. Traditionally, children who enter this last acute phase of bodily and mental development can go through some rough times. As kids enter their preteen and then their teenage years, chaos can ensue at times for everyone involved.
A child or young adult may feel that his or her body and mind are out of control occasionally, and the parents and teachers who supervise children at this age may tend to agree. Kids between the age of twelve and sixteen sometimes react in unpredictable ways, surprising those around them and even themselves and requiring the intervention of adolescent anger management strategies.



Adolescent Anger Management and Juvenile Delinquents
Sadly, many teens experience frustrations that drive them to vent anger toward people or things, breaking civil laws. This type of behavior often leads to incarceration, or at the very least, intervention by parents, teachers, law enforcement officials, and juvenile experts who attempt to train children how to respond in age-appropriate ways. Adolescent anger management programs teach kids individually or in peer groups how to identify negative feelings, work through them in the right kind of ways, seek help when needed, and practice more mature behaviors.

The Parenting Class creates an opportunity for parents to shift their attention to the needs of their children. By using a psychoeducational approach, this program focuses on the enhancement of the children's ability to function within their families and how to improve the parental relationship to provide a nurturing non-threatening home environment. This Class is suited for all parents, stepparents, grandparents, or others that directly or indirectly influence decisions about children.

The class consist of 8 lessons with class interaction and some homework. Class times are:
Tuesday & Thursday Evenings 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
You will only be allowed to take two hours per week so you must elect one evening or the other. A 4 week commitment is necessary to complete classes a minimum of 8 hrs.

Classes are 50 minutes with 10 minutes breaks. No profanity allowed!
While our staff is highly qualified with more than 26 years of experience we offer anger management classes based on simple baseline anger management studies that contain models and curriculum coupled with class interaction to produce a provoking study that inspires and engages the interest of the participants. A certificate is awarded when participant has completed the parenting class.
