mabuhay ka captain! Wish to have more brave soldiers like you who stand for the rights of the people. From: michelle licudine Sent: Tuesday, December 27, 2005 12:04 AM Subject: Sanlakas reaction to call for civil disobedience Press Statement December 27, 2005 michelle licudine Spokesperson - Sanlakas A welcome xmas gift Capt. Faeldon's call is a welcome respite from the usual Christmas greetings this time of year from trapos starting with the pretender in Malacanang. His assurance that they will not takeover power but only help in establishing a civilian transition government is a Christmas gift that the people will appreciate. While the season may not be the actual time to launch the civil disobedience, the parties, reunions and gatherings may serve as forum for people to seriously talk about responding to the call come next year. We believe that the people in general and the workers and poor in particular will welcome the call of Capt. Faeldon for civil disobedience to overthrow the GMA regime towards facilitating reforms in government.
The workers and the poor will be launching protests and struggles next year that may peak to civil disobedience
depending on the circumstances. In such a case, the mass movement will look forward to linking arms will Capt. Faeldon
and his comrade patriotic soldiers. We consider the rank-and-file soldiers as workers and farmers in uniform and the
patriotic military as brothers and sisters in the struggle.
From: John Lasola Shinn III Sent: Tuesday, December 27, 2005 1:13 AM Subject: more power to you! A year before the fall of the Marcos regime regime in 1986, at the age of 23, I joined the staff of Malaya (the only opposition newspaper in the country then) in Manila. I had fled my hometown of Zamboanga City because my exposes (as a Malaya correspondent based there) about corruption in the city involving top ranking military officers angered the military command at SouthCom. When I joined Malaya in Manila as a staffmember, I did not even think of helping topple the Marcos regime... All I wanted to do was to report the truth at a time when only a few brave souls dared to defy the Marcos regime. Ousting Marcos through our writings was really never a possibility, but history now say we did.....
To cut my comment short, getting the word out thru your website is a first step....but your ultimate contribution
to this campaign (against Arroyo) is just to be yourself: an honest Filipino with a clear conscience and a
gentleman and a good soldier...subvervient to the people he swore to serve and protect....
To help get the word out to the world, we have included a link of your site in our weekly online newspaper......
the struggle must continue....
From: E. Na.. Sent: Tuesday, December 27, 2005 12:43 AM Subject: I salute! Capt., Let not any impatience and others negligence tire your courage and heroism. I salute you! Though we're currently away from our beloved Philippines, my family and I still and always longs for transformations and reforms in our government. The Government that compelled us be in desertion rather than be of a meaningful service to our own Philippines and to the Filipinos.
I wish that this great effort of yours would bring us back to our Motherland that shall live happily and abundantly
and take pleasure in having to be recognized as First Class citizens.
From: R. Za.. Sent: Tuesday, December 27, 2005 12:48 AM Subject: I SALUTE YOU CAPTAIN! Dear Sir, When I read on the news about your escape, I couldn't help myself but to admire your courage and dedication to our beloved country. While it's true that I've been living in another country for 15 years, yet I still have concerns for our fellow countrymen. I'm a TFC (The Filipino Channel) subscriber that is why I know what's going on there. Oh, how my heart ached when the opposition lost in the GMA impeachment trial! I couldn't believe that a lot of our congressmen are still playing blind and deaf, or should I say big time idiots. They are only thinking about their own interests---what a shame!!! Aside from you, I also admire Congressmen Escudero and Cayetano for their continuous fight against the corrupt Arroyo administration. I keep hoping and praying that someday(very soon), the rest of our soldiers will wake up and follow what you're fighting for. I'm so proud of you, captain. Rest assured that I
will always pray for your safety. May God bless you.
Mabuhay ka!!
From: Emma Roxas Sent: Tuesday, December 27, 2005 1:50 AM Subject: Don't give up your fight for justice and good governance. You are not alone in your struggle for justice in our country. We at KME (Kilusang Makabansang Ekonomiya) led by Bishops Julio Xavier Labayen, Deogracias Ynigues and Antonio Tobias and many other Archbishops and Bishops throughout the land, including this writer, have not given up on our struggle to rid this country of this fake president who sits in Malacanang with such arrogance. The people are aware that the one who sits now in Malacanang is not our real president. The international community is also aware of this, that is why she is not respected abroad.
Please hang on and do whatever you can to oust this
evil one we have in our midst. I wish we could help
each other in our advocacy. May our good Lord bless
you and strengthen you and keep you safe.
From: R. Is.. Sent: Tuesday, December 27, 2005 2:24 AM Subject: Dear Brother am with you all the way. I read your statements in your website and my blood started boiling again. I am one of the many Pilipino's who wish and pray to see the flag you mentioned in full-mask. To see someday a free and united Pilipino that is proud to say that he or she belongs to a Maharlika Race. Yes I am proud to say those things, but I am ashamed to tell that my country's president is a certain lady by the name of gloria macapagal arroyo. I do not belong on any organization, nor a communist, neither a Marcos Loyalist. But I assure you I am against the Oppression of the poor Pilipino people; against the Oppression of our National Economy; against the Oppression our Freedom. I was really expecting a big change during the Oakwood struggle. Praying that it will be a total victory for the Pilipino people, but everything came to a halt after agreeing to return to the barracks. The homogenous dream was diluted by statements from mrs. arroyo that what happened was a mutiny. Mutiny against whom? Against her repressive corrupt administration. But definitely not a mutiny against the Pilipino people. Whatever happens, we should be united in the struggle for our freedom. I will always be there. And will always pray that the day will come that our Pilipinas will be shining again.
Always take care and be careful.
