In January 2007, we voted to continue dues for the year 2007. The amount voted on remains $5 per month per member. Dues is to be paid quarterly during the first month of each quarter (January, April,July, October). If a chapter member leaves the chapter, then she will be refunded for month(s) the member will not be a member. IE: First quarter (January, February, March) dues paid and member drops out near the end of February, she will receive a $5 refund for March.

There was a discussion regarding the possibility of a chapter member not being able to attend the chapter paid outing. We discussed the issue and agreed that if a member is unable to attend the chapter paid event, then the money would remain in the chapter kitty.

In January 2008 at the Organizational Meeting a motion was made and seconded that Red Ribbon and Lace is permanently a dues paying chapter. A vote was taken and all members present voted in favor. No longer will we take a vote during the January Organizational Meeting about whether or not we will pay dues. From this point on, we will pay dues. A motion was made and seconded that the dues remain at $5 a month, to be paid quarterly. All members presents voted in favor of $5 per month.

All chapter money will be used for the chapter. Yearly registration to the Red Hat Society will be paid for from these funds. All related expenses for the chapter will be reimbursed from chapter funds. There will be 1 or2 chapter outings paid for from the dues kitty each year. Examples: BBQ and Christmas Party. In 2006, each member had her June BBQ ticket paid for @$25 per person. At Christmas in 2006, we went to see The Glory of Christmas at the Crystal Cathedral. Tickets were $18 per person. Our kitty covered the cost of the tickets, the rental of a 15 passenger van plus gas, and dessert and coffee for all of us at Hof's Hut. We also had a seperate Christmas Dinner the week before the Glory of Christmas, totally paid for from chapter funds. All expenses will be approved by the chapter. As a group, we will decide how we want to spend our money and which events we want to pay for from our dues kitty.

If we start to accumulate to much money in the kitty, then we can vote to have another chapter event paid for using chapter funds.

If a new member joins our group and wants to attend an event paid for from chapter funds: EXAMPLE...If the outings tickets are $18 per ticket and the new member has only paid $15 in dues, then she needs to pay the difference of $3 plus any other related expenses (transportation, etc).

Any problems or disputes will be discussed by the chapter members. After the discussion, a vote will be taken from members present and the majority rules.

Our guidelines can be changed as needed. There will be a discussion followed by a vote of the chapter members present.

During an event, chapter funds can be used. A vote will be taken by the members present and the majority rules. Example: After the Glory of Christmas performance in December of 2006, we had planned on going across the street for coffee and dessert (each paying our own way). We had enough money in the kitty to cover the cost for dessert and coffee and we voted for our dessert and coffee to be paid for from chapter funds. Everyone present voted in favor and we had a wonderful time.
