Region IX Student Senate

SSCCC - Region IX

We, the students of the California Community College System, do hereby establish the Student Senate for California Community Colleges Region IX, in conjunction with local associated student organizations, as a means to represent the students in Region IX community colleges at the state level. Further, the Student Senate for California Community Colleges Region IX is recognized as the representative community college-associated student government organization before the Board of Governors and Chancellor’s Office in accordance with Title 5, Section 50002. Region IX consist of nine Community College Districts and thirteen Community Colleges; Barstow, Cerro Coso, Chaffey, Copper Mountain, Crafton Hills, College of the Desert, Mt. San Jacinto, Moreno Valley College, Norco City College, Palo Verde, Riverside City College, San Bernardino Valley College, and Victor Valley.

The mission of Student Senate for California Community Colleges Region IX is in power the voice of the students and encourage involvement of students at all levels. To pursue policies that will improve student access, promote student success, engage and empower local student leaders, and enrich the collegiate experience for all California community college students.
