Region IX Goals 2009-2010
1. HELP LOCAL REGION IX CAMPUSES/STUDENT GOVERNMENTS GO GREEN:
Encourage local student governments to establish policies mandating their campus stay environmentally friendly by using recycled paper, printing 2-sided, etc.
Look into alternate sources of energy that reduce damage done to our environment, such as; solar powered lights, waterless toilets, carpooling, etc.
Encourage local student governments to keep their campus updated on environmental issues and help organize and promote environmental awareness events.
2. Advocate on the behalf of Region IX Students:
Support Region IX colleges with advocacy efforts at their respective campuses.
Advocacy of current students issues at state and regional levels
