Mary, Cathy and Joan of the Ruby Rail Cruisers enjoyed the Salsa Festival on Saturday, July 28, 2007. We were noticed all day long. We felt like we were a part of the festival entertainment. Yes, up there with the pirate actors!!
Our Train ride to Oxnard was on time within a modern train; however, the ride back home our train was a ventage Amtrak train from the 1970s and was 2 hours late due to some accident somewhere on the railroad that caused our train to be very late. I took several photos of the train inside and out. Also noticed that one of the doors were OPEN while the train was traveling. I reported it to the conductor but he didn't seem a bit interested in public safety and ignored the issue.
