The Ruby Rail Cruisers

Winners of the Opportunity Drawing: Norma Hall and Desiree McGillicuddy

El Capitan Theatre

On the way to Hollywood we enjoyed the movie soundtrack and other sea-related songs!

We all had a fun time in Hollywood on June 24, 2007. We started out with an early lunch (around 10:30 or so) then went off to the El Capitan Theatre to stand in line for 45 minutes then saw the new motion picture "Pirates of the Caribbean -- At World's End." Some of us purchased VIP tickets which allowed for early seating and hardly and standing in line -- reserved seats plus popcorn and a soda. Before the movie started we were treated to the pipe organ then after the movie we enjoyed a delightful dinner inside Disney's Soda Fountain (next door to the theatre). Of course after dinner we had to try their specialty -- soda fountain product. Terri ordered Egg Cream Soda (I never heard of this before and learned something on this day) Others ordered a hot fudge sundae, rootbear float, banana split, etc. After our fun dinner we walked around a little around the Hollywood strip and saw the footprints of famous actors, Manns Chinese theater, and other points of interests that happen to be nearby.
