Our next event...

...is TEAGO on Saturday, January 13 at 2:30 pm at My Cup of Tea on Third Avenue in Chula Vista.

TEAGO is a game similar to Bingo, except the playing cards are geared toward items used for tea, such as names of teas, sugar tongs, honey, etc. The cost is $5.00 and you must bring your own tea cup and saucer. The tea shop supplies the game, tea, desserts and prizes. There is a parking lot behind the shop.

Thanks to Jan for bringing us this idea and for setting it up with the tea shop!

Red Hat/Pink Hat attire is required at this event.

Our last event...

...was Sunday, December 10 for our Christmas dinner at Harbor House in Seaport Village. Everyone was very festive with a number of us wearing Santa hats!

Many thanks to Betty for bringing those cute mouse treats, Sharon and her daughter for bringing the cute red & purple party favors, and Julie for bringing the angel rubber duckies.

Unfortunately, we had a limited view of the lighted boat parade, plus they came by earlier than we thought and we were still eating. The food and company were great and our waiter was very attentive. I think everyone had a good time, even BJ and Rita who showed up in the same outfit (great minds think alike and have great taste as well)!

Thanks everyone for making the evening a success!

Congratulations to Diane for winning the door prize of a lovely Red Hat throw blanket.

 Coming soon...

...is the bus trip to the Date Festival in Indio on February 18. Begun as a celebration of the date harvest, the annual Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival has grown to become one of Southern California's most popular wintertime attractions. Watch the unpredictable and hilarious Ostrich and Camel Races; savor and sample tasty date treats; view over 7,000 exhibits including animal, agricultural, arts, gems and minerals; enjoy musical entertainment throughout the day and much more.
