St. Paul’s Pace

111 Elm Street
San Diego, CA 92101
619-677-3800

http://www.stpaulspace.org

The St. Paul's PACE doctor to patient ratio is very low, nurses and doctors will know you intimately so care is extremely personal.

Doctors and medical teams specialize in geriatric care which means no one knows your body better than the staff here at PACE.

Because our medical team sets all of your medical appointments, there is no need for you to do this. You also do not have to arrange or pay for transportation to multiple medical facilities and you will no longer wait in waiting rooms - our nurse and therapists will come get you from the recreation room when your appointment is set.

If you have a current caregiver, he/she can now take time out from 24/7 care.

With the support of PACE, participants can continue to live in the least restrictive environment, the home.

St. Paul’s PACE provides preventative care such as physical therapy to increase strength, which reduces fall risk AND we provide as much therapy as we feel you need, not dictated by a pencil pusher!

Caring PACE team members become family to our participants, and we constantly watch for signs of change in our participants and can make decisions on health needs quickly to avoid long term problems.

How to qualify

Enrollment in St. Paul’s PACE is voluntary and individuals qualify if they are:

• Adults 55 years of age or older

• Living in the designated service area

• Determined by the Department of Health Care Services for nursing home level of care

• Able to live in a community setting without jeopardizing their health or safety

We welcome you to contact our enrollment center at the phone number below:

619-677-3800

The PACE Program meets every possible needs of seniors, and comes highly recommended.

On December 24, 2009 the PACE program had a Christmas dinner for it's participants and each participant left with one or more Christmas presents from PACE.

It is the only Christmas dinner many of these seniors will have and the only Christmas presents that many of them will receive.

Well done site Russell obviously much research has gone into the information provided for the seniors and disabled, I can only imagine how much more information that will be added as it is further developed.

Mary L.

Great, this website saves much running around the Internet to connect with these resources.

Thanks!

Harvey

My Mother who is disabled is very excited about what you are doing here, bless you Russell.

Jessie A.

Our church will be monitoring your website and helping wherever we can it is nice to know that you, your organization and website exist for the seniors and the disabled.

Rafael P.

Your website is developing nicely Russell, I am recommending it to several of my friends.

Susan Matthews

I like the extras that you are adding it gives your site a nice touch and user friendly.

Dewayne L.

Good information and resource links, give yourself a big pat on the back!

John John

Amazing site Russell, thank you for sharing with us.

Kimberly L.

You have a lot going on between those two ears Russell, expect my call when I get back from the holidays.

William P.

Thumbs-up! Russell.

David S.

Wow this is an awesome website! Wonderful job all! I like the helpful links and the great truthful honest and endearing stories.

Yvonne L.

Thank you Yvonne for visiting our new site. Yvonne and I have been friends for going on three years and she is actively involved within our other organization the Invisible Youth Network.

Yvonne is a very special lady and has made a huge difference in the lives of many homeless youth.

Russell

Thanks for the info' however, I found all the links to available food to be the same, and there is very little info for this neck of the woods. ( San Diego ) the share program would be terrific, and surely sounds great, but did you ever get food from them? You would not be so inclined to list them on your site. The produce is OLD, and spoils very quickly, and the value for the dollar is virtually nil.

Nancy J.

Thank you Nancy for your feedback, there are organizations listed here that have Food Programs for Seniors other than what you mentioned here for example Catholic Charities and more.

Be assured we will be checking out many of these links on a one to one to see what they really do for seniors and the disabled and post the results on this site.

Russell

Thank you for placing all of these resources under one umbrella, there is a lot of helpful information and links.

Kimberly

Hi Russell;

I just found your website. I was just taking a break and decided to surf the web. I'm glad I did and found your very insightful commentary. (I like the way you write) Anyways would like to get involved, I currently volunteer for meals on wheels and tomorrow is my first day and I'm so excited to be able to reach out to people. I lost my dad a year ago now he was a Koren war vet. I only wish I could have done more for him in his old age but he lived in Ventura County and I lived here due to my custody issues with my son. So in memory of my hero I want to do for someone that I could not do for my dad, and I still would like to do more! I understand the issues that seniors go through cause my dad would tell me of all the red tape he had to go through with his insurances and what not. Anyways just wanted to say how much I loved your article and would like to know more and do more for seniors.Have a good night and God Bless you!

Melissa

Thank you Melissa for your moving message, I will be in contact with you in the immediate future.

Russell

Thank you for the many useful resources.

Heather M.

Thank you for this useful website it saves a lot of running around looking for these resources for my Mother.

Luiz L.

As many pets that need a home and as many seniors that have no-one in their lives, someone needs to do the math on this.

Jonathan S.

You would think so Jonathan there is something wrong with this picture.

Russell

Thank you for visiting our new website, one man or one woman can accomplish much if they define their purpose and focus on their objectives.

On the Internet you have the potential to reach millions of people.

We are hoping that our new organization and website will make a difference in the lives of others, if nothing else give them a new sense of direction.

We have received so many e-mails, telephone calls from you, it is amazing.

It would take up most of the site to print all of the messages at one time, but we will rotate them from time to time.

Thank you for your comments, invitations and support.

Russell
