"Charity should begin at home, but should not stay there."
~ Phillip Brooks (1835-1893)

As mother's we are blessed and it is our obligation to do for others what they cannot do for themselves. The SVMOTTC is committed to supporting philanthropic events and organizations in our community and relating to topics that are close to our members hearts.

Members should submit their opinions regarding our philanthropic obligations to our Philanthropic ChairMom. As a club we will vote each year on the organizations that we will provide funds, goods and time.

America Cancer Society - Relay for Life

America Cancer Society's Relay for Life Link

Sadly, too many of our members have lost loved ones to cancer. Every year we participate in this event. More than 20 years ago, one man took it upon himself to raise money to support the efforts of the American Cancer Society. Today, more than three million Americans participate in Relay events nationwide. Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.

March of Dimes - Walk America

Walk America Link

As Mother's of Multiples, we experience the highest incidence of premature birth. This cause is close to many of our member's hearts. Premature birth can happen to any pregnant woman, and no one knows why. In 2003, the March of Dimes launched a multiyear, multimillion-dollar campaign to address this growing problem. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many lifelong disabilities. We join the March of Dimes to fight prematurity by taking steps in WalkAmerica.
