WHEN I AM AN OLD WOMAN...
WARNING,
When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells...
The ending of the poem pleases its readers when the woman says . . .
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

To My Pink Hat Friend-
You're a junior Red Hatter and so much fun.
I'll go out with you anywhere to frolic and run.
One day you'll wear purple and hats of red.
Turning 50 to you will be nothing to dread!
You're such a blessing to me with kind words and a smile.
We'll be best friends forever-
Pink Hatters for a while. Several different types of Red hats will add pizzazz to various outfits in your wardrobe. Wear your hat on the top of your head, not on the back of your head. It should sit about one-finger width above your eyebrows and just above your ears. Very few people look better with their hats on the back of their heads. Is your face round? Try asymmetrical styles, or wear a round shaped hat at an angle - it will draw the roundness out of your face.
Is your face narrow? Wear a big, upsweeping brim. It will broaden your face in a very flattering way. If you're short, stay away from brims that will overwhelm your frame. Look for a pillbox with a flamboyant feather.

To belong to a disorganization with NO written rules, other than you must wear a Red Hat and Purple clothing (or a Pink Hat and lavender clothing if you are under 50), sure makes it easy to abide by the rules.
Isnt it great to belong or think about belonging to such a dis-organization with only one rule?
