You want to be understood when you speak. You don't want to be afraid to speak before groups of people. You want the confidence that comes with knowing who you are, knowing your subject, knowing what you want to say and how to say it. You can have all this with your membership in Toastmasters International.

Toastmasters International has over 8,700 clubs in 70 Countries. Visit the Toastmasters International or Founders District website to find a club near you.

The Ziggurat Club meets the first and third Tuesday of the month from Noon to 1pm. Call the President, Valerie Prather, at (949) 389-4671 for meeting location.


 
MISSION AND PURPOSE 
  • Help its individual members improve their abilities to communicate effectively;

  • Gain self confidence in delivery of speeches;

  • Encourage members to read and to listen analytically;

  • Members will be fair and give constructive evaluation;

  • Knowledge of the rules of parliamentary procedure;

  • Will conduct meetings and participate in group discussions;

  • Provide leadership training for its individual members;

  • Encouragement to appear before audiences and to express their thoughts creditably.


 
TOASTMASTERS RECOGNITION
COMMUNICATION TRACK


COMPETENT TOASTMASTER (CTM)

  • Complete the Communication and Leadership manual.

ADVANCED TOASTMASTER BRONZE (ATM-B)

  • Achieved Competent Toastmaster Award.
  • Complete 2 Advanced Communication and Leadership manuals.

ADVANCED TOASTMASTER SILVER (ATM-S)

  • Achieved Advanced Toastmaster Bronze Award.
  • Completed 2 Advanced Manuals manuals not used for a previous award.
  • Conducted any two programs from The Better Speaker Series and/or The Success Club Series not used for a previous award.

ADVANCED TOASTMASTER GOLD (ATM-G)

  • Achieved Advanced Toastmaster Silver Award.
  • Completed 2 Advanced Manuals manuals not used for a previous award.
  • Conducted a Success/Leadership Program, Success/Communication Program or a Youth Leadership Program.
  • Coached a new member with the first three speech projects.

  TOASTMASTERS RECOGNITION
LEADERSHIP TRACT


COMPETENT LEADER (CL)

  • Achieved Competent Toastmaster Award.
  • Served at least 6 months as a Club Officer, and while an officer participated in the preparation of a Club Success Plan.
  • While a Club officer, participated in a District sponsored Club officer training program.
  • Conducted any two programs from the The Successful Club Series not used for a previous award.

ADVANCED LEADER (AL)

  • Achieved Competent Leader Award.
  • Served a complete term as a District Officer (District Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Public Relations Officer, Secretary, Tresurer, Division Governor, Area Governor).
  • Completed the High Performance Leadership Program.
  • Served successfully as a Club Sponsor, Mentor, or specialist.

 


DISTINGUISHED TOASTMASTER (DTM)

  • Achieved Advanced Toastmaster Gold Award.
  • Achieved Advanced Leader Award.

 

Distinguished Toastmaster is the highest recognition a member may receive!
 


Executive Leaderhip Committee

The Club President is reponsible for fulfilling the mission and has general supervision of the operation of this Club.

Immediate Past President provides guidance and serves as a resource to the officers and members of the club.

Vice President Education provides an educational program to meet the needs of the members.

Vice President Membership directs a program that ensures member retention and growth in club membership.

Vice President Public Relations developes a publicity program that informs members and the general public about Toastmasters International.

Club Secretary handles general correspondence, records meeting minutes.

Club Treasurer manages Club financial records, policies, procedures, and acquisitions.

The Sergeant at Arms is responsible for Club property management, meeting room preparation, hospitality and special events.

The President and Vice President of Education shall serve as this Club's representatives on the Area and District Councils. and Vice President of Membership serves as this Club's representative on the Area Council.
