Toastmaster Nathan Sage introduces the latest technology of an apple iPad in his speech

In his speech given on December 8, 2011 Nathan used his iPad, worthy of a Power Point replacement, to deliver a very interest speech about watching different types of movies. It made some of us even think of purching the iPad for Christmas.

New Meeting Place: Our meeting will be back at our home at the Stantec Building 22690 Cactus Ave, Moreno Valley 92553 just across from Brandman University.

How Toastmasters Work. At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. A typical Toastmasters club is made up of 20 to 30 people who meet once a week for about an hour. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice:

1.Conducting Meetings. Members learn how to plan and conduct meetings.

2.Giving Impromptu Speeches. Members present one-to two-minute impromptu speeches on assigned topics.

3.Presenting Prepared Speeches. Three or more members present speeches based on projects from munuals in Toastmasters' proven communication and/or leadership program. Projects cover topics such as speech organization, vocal variety, language, gestures and persuasion.

4.Offering Constructive Evaluation..Every prepared speaker is assigned an evaluator who points out speech strengths and offers suggestions for improvement.

5.Come visit with us. If you like what you see, please consider joining our Toastmasters Club.

THE PRESIDENT'S CORNER
HAPPY NEW YEAR - "Let the world know about Toastmasters." Talk -Still the most effective means of communication known in the world today.

Everybody talks at Toastmasters meetings - that's why you're there! You present a one to two minute impromptu speech during Table Topics. At a later meeting you may be the one asking the Table Topics questions! Soon after, you'll introduce speakers, give prepared speeches, conduct the meeting, and preform many other roles.

Alex Rico, President.
