Jim Smith, Sara's oldest uncle,

Sara's father, Paul Sumner Smith on left. His birthdate is 04/06/1941. In this photo
he is 9 years old. I see the resemblance to Sara's son, Wyatt, who is 5 now.

Here is Wyatt, age 5, Dec.2004

Hi there EMAIL FROM RICHIE, Jan. 2005:
I WILL MAKE THESE CORRECTIONS TO THE INFORMATION BELOW! thanks,Richie!

hey saw your web page very nice there are a couple things in question that I saw and would like to speak with you on those items: you have Nicholas Osborne as Verne's father but his death date is before Verne's birth there is a good reason as Nicholas is Edna Gertrude's father and Verne's grandfather and Clara was Nicholas's wife her maiden was Taylor also Henry Hoar was Verne's father but left the picture before Verne was born and divorced Edna and she remarried to William W Smith who gave the children the Smith name that is how we got the name. Grandma and her family are from Florida and Leroy Longee was born and died in Florida also not a Cajun Frenchman from Louisiana his father was from Ohio. Leone was born 6-8-1891 in Orlando, Florida not woodland and all 5 of her children were born in Florida also. I have almost all the families info back to 1800 with a few back much farther. I am about to put up a family tree page on the web but not there yet but it will only have Mildred and Verne and goes back in time from there but not forward.

VERN ALBERT SMITH
born 1912 , died > 9-8-2001
His parents are
Mother: Edna Gertrude Osborne, his Father Nicholas Bennett Osborne,
born 1-6-1852 and died 4-2-1904.
> born 12-20-1879 died 1-27-1961 her > Mother Clara Flemming Taylor > born 8-21-1859 died 11-25-1936 _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ > > Father: Henry Hubert Hoar his > Father Benjamin Franklin Hoar > born 1838 died 1930 > born 1-30-2880 died 1921 his > Mother Virginia Salstien Chichester > born 9-13-1848 died 1925
I believe it was Henry Hoar that changed his name to SMITH, as he did not like the last name HOAR. Therefore, the SMITH FAMILY NAME arrived. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ >

> > > Mildred Virginia Longee, (Sara's grandmother): Born June 2, 1919 and passed away October 16, 1975
Mildred's parents are
Mother: Leone Sparks
Born 6-8-1882 in Woodland, Ca. and died in 1969
Father: Leroy Longee, a cajun frenchman, and commercial fisherman from Louisiana

I've known her 40 years, and they live in Minnesota......
happily ever after.
