BOBBY,our doggie, age 12

Here I am, at age 62, the mother
of those 4 great children above.

My name at birth was LINDA VENEAL ANDREWS and I was born
and raised in Napa, the beautiful
wine country and attended Ridgeview Jr. High, and Napa High School.
People knew me as Dot Andrews back then.
I married in 1959
and had my first child, Sallina, in 1960.

Here are all of my names:

Linda Veneal "Dot" Andrews Kaboudvand
Smith Keeney Stewart.

I've lived many lives and many places, including Vallejo, Napa, Las Vegas, San Jose,
Santa Clara,
Fremont, San Ramon, Livermore, Bodega Bay, Morro Bay,
Fort Bragg, Little River, Valley Ford, North Hollywood, Van Nuys, Encino,
Mountain View, Booneville, Ar., Oak Grove, Oregon, Clearlake Oaks,
and xxxxxxxxx California where I now live.

Here I am in my Red Hat Society getup, Dec.04

I've come a long ways....Baby!

OUR HOME

They were putting the roof on this house the day J.F.Kennedy
was assassinated, Nov. 1963. The reason we know, is that
my husband Stew's Uncle Gene Way built the
house, as he was a contractor in Clearlake at the time. He built
the home for Edward Robey Sr. and his
wife, Evelyn (both deceased). They are the parents of
locals Ed Robey II, and his brothers
Larry and Dennis Arnold Robey. Now, of course, I knew
the entire Robey family in the early 70's when I
was married to my twin's father,Warren,
as Ed Robey Sr. and his wife were his Godparents.
I used to VISIT this house in the 70's. The Robey's, for many years,
were best friends with Warren's parents, Warren
& Dale Keeney and also had many a cocktail
party at the jeweler's house (Gordon Ness and his wife Muriel).
Gordon's son, Kevin, now owns & operates the jewelry store which
has been there since the 40's.

Currently, Ed Robey Jr. is our County Supervisor, and much into politics.

In the old days (1950's and up) the Robeys and
the Keeneys were in the real estate business together here in Clearlake.

Robey owned this house and the entire shopping center
below us, which included Safeway, but now houses
the Clearlake City Police Dept.
They also owned all of Austin Park across the street from us, and the
complex down below where the Rock House
bar still operates. There used to be
also, Ford's Variety store there, operated for many years by
Charlie Schoenenberg, who was the
originator of the annual WORM RACES on our 4th of July weekend.
Later Ford's was Tooties Used Goods store.

THE STEW'S NEWS !!!

Hello family, and here's hoping everyone has a HAPPY NEW YEAR in 2006.

Sara, Mike and my grandson Wyatt, who is 6,
moved to Lumberton, No. Carolina in June
of 2005 where Mike has
some family. Sadly, Mike's mother died a couple of months after
they moved there.

They bought a nice 3 bdrm 2 ba. home on 5
acres out in the country and once they
have fencing, they will have the horses Sara
so loves.

Stew and I flew back there after Thanksgiving, on Nov. 28,
and spent 2 weeks with them exploring the area,
and just being cozy at home with them.

Myrtle Beach, So. Carolina is a wonderful destination,
spot for tourists. I said, "Why move to Hawaii?"
It is just as beautiful there, and nice weather, and
a whole lot cheaper too for real estate.

We bought a vacation home in a mobile park
on the edge of the Smith River and ocean in Sept. '05
, just south of Brookings, Oregon.

It's a great place to be when it is Hellish Hot
here at home and possibly a future retirement home.
One just never knows!

There is a nice restaurant/lounge walking
distance from our place, with karaoke.
There is 7 Feathers Indian Casino just one mile away,
and lots of stores to shop in,
with no sales tax in Oregon. We love it!

SALLINA'S NEWS

Sallina and Darin 2005

Hi family................
Its Sallina & Darin's update on December 30,2005.
First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR & WE WISH GOOD
HEALTH,HAPPINESS AND FUN TO ALL!

Do we have any New Years resolutions???
Not anything specific really.
Perhaps to eat healthier & smaller portions and be more
consistent with exercise. Dropping a few lbs would
be a bonus!! The year has been pretty good overall for us. No real
drama or bad news, thank God.

Sometimes I feel like we are just like
a typical hard working family.....working to pay bills, planning
retirement, investing when we can and
squeezing in fun on weekends & yearly vacation when
we can! Life can get somewhat
mondane at times, but it is
ultimatley up to us to create our entertainment the
best we can to avoid boredom! It can be a
challenge, but nothing comes easy i've realized
thats worth anything of value.

(Thats what i say to my Son Drew) !
We are thankful we have a nice home, jobs,
healthy family, friends and so far our health
is good. So, in the long run, it would
appear we have it all!!!!!!!! maybe we do!! We have talked alot about
retirement in Hawaii the next 5-7 years and hopefully we will
make it happen! We have realized that perhaps we chat a bit to much about the
future and need to focus more on today and enjoy now.

Our goals/plans will most likely come, so we need to be patient & wait!
If all works to plan, we should be ready
to semi-retire in hawaii,
year 2012.

When we turn age 55, retire from working all
together if we so desire. Darin may dabble
in something p/t to keep busy. As for me,
i will be a lady of leisure and do
whatever i want......lounge,read,
walks on beach, kayak,hobby,
maybe even learn to cook better & try recipes.
I bake tasty bran/banana muffins!

My son Andrew has 5 months under his belt now for
auto mechanics school and is still
plugging away towards his goal. He has 12
more months till graduation for his AS certified
degree in auto mechanics and then
hopes to persue the extended 3-4 month course
to get his smog certificate thru the
state. I am truly proud of his turn around,
despite all is past challenges. His committment
to finish school is the best choice he
has ever made for himself and his future!
We all smile and cheer him on!

I never gave up on Andrew and knew one day he would
awaken and say it's time to make something
of himself!! I pray everyday he continues
his goals and persues whatever he
wants to accomplish! He is still with the same
girlfriend Natalia, now 1-1/2 yrs.
Is she the one? who knows?

As for the NEW YEAR 2006, who knows what lies ahead???????
We do have a 4-5 day cruise planned the end
of April to L.A., san diego, ensanada and Catalina Island.
We might drive to Oregon near mom's 2nd home by the
beach in July to visit the area

with Mom and Stew and
enjoy the surrounding tourist stops.
Or we may try to save enough $ for a weeks vacation
sometime in September in Hawaii(Kauai)

We will see what transpires for us. The rest of the year
will just go day by day and whatever
happens , happens.

I love you all,
until our next family update in the summer time
...........best wishes,

Love Sallina& Darin..my sweet husband
......3 years married this next July

  SARA'S NEWS

Mike, Sara and Wyatt moved to No. Carolina in June of 2005
and they are just loving it!
Mike has a job at a local car
dealership as mgr. of the parts dept.
So far, Sara is a stay-at-home mom and Wyatt is doing
just GREAT in school. I do believe the quality
of education is much better
than California schools.

A poem by Sara (02/08/05)
MY LITTLE BOY'S EYES
My little boys eyes , so full of light,
Shining,smiling a sheer delight.
I wonder whats behind those eyes so true,
Oceans of sea foam, skies so blue...
Curious, laughing, sometimes teary,
My strength for him is never weary,
It comes from somewhere deep inside,
Forever flowing, an ebbing tide.
This wonder, this neverending love,
Was placed in his eyes from up above,
He gazes at me; such a sight!
My little boys eyes, so full of light.

JUST LOOK AT
MY LITTLE BOY'S EYES!

Caught making a toast to the bride & groom.

I will have HORSES again....
One for Wyatt too!

Jetta and Michael

Michael is still going to Chico and getting an engineering degree.
Jetta has accepted a one year internship for Senator McClintock at the Capitol in Sacramento.
She found a female roommate and takes the morning train to work downtown.
Dec. 29, she flew to be with girlfriends in Iowa and Minnesota.
Bet it is FREEZING there.

Jetta and Michael
He has a twin sister and
he is from Kelseyville!
A Lake County boy, attending
college at Chico.

Jetta & Michael enjoy motorcycle riding.

Sera Lee, Rachel and Kirsten have proven to be the best friends ever! Rachel is a teacher of autistic children in Des Moines.

Hey! Since I graduated high school in '98, I have attended CSU, Chico, earning a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW). Besides traditional social work, I have experience in social research and evaluation (my favorite!)

I have participated in 3 internships for the US military where
I worked with the enlisted's children on military bases overseas.
Not only was I able to work with the kids, but the internships
allowed me to travel all over western Europe...

Last year I enjoyed Christmas in Croatia and New Years in Venice!

I have spent about 7 months total overseas and have visited 10 different countries; I loved every minute of it!

Currently, I am working for the State Senate at the Capitol in Sacramento. I work as a legislative aide for a republican senator (Down with the far left...just kidding!)

My experiences at the capitol have been just awesome so far, everyday I meet so many people!
To me, policymaking is the best kind of social work...

Thelma Jane and Paul, 2005

Karen, my cousin (Paul & Janie's daughter)

January 2005 UNCLE PAUL'S RESOLUTIONS!
Subject: New Year's Resolutions.......Phooey!
Janie thought we should excercise more this year-
so we decided to go to a mall every day and stroll for an hour or two. Only problem is every store she steps into costs me $50. Too expensive. So she decided to go by herself and eliminate the negative feedback and complaining. Today she is taking grandaughters Kelli and Kristen with her the sales are so good. The more she spends the more I save. Anyway the exercise is doing us alot of good. To save even more bucks we went to Disneyland with our annual pass (only $240 including parking). We went on five rides in three hours. We think we will do this at least once a week and be in great shape by next January. Only one problem, the pasta and pizza station was our first stop and the Gibson Girl ice cream parlor was the last. I think we are taking in more than we are wearing off!
Must modify this behavior. But we do have more pep. Hope your good plans are working for you..............PAUL______________________________________________________________________________________________
