How we got here...
Trade Show Safety Professionals had its genisis in the 1980's. Our founder, after recognizing the lack of communication between "competing" companies, established a small group of like-minded individuals. This body saw that while various convention centers, hotels, and fairgrounds would naturally be in competition for common business, they could never-the-less be of one accord pertaining to the safety of individuals. Likewise, contractors, vendors, and service groups could share a common interest in the safety of union workers, in spite of the fact they compete for trade show accounts. The initial group was well received locally and the foundation of TSSP was secure.

In the 90's, the group expaned from a facilities oriented organization to an all-parties-in-the-industry group. At this point the effeciency and effectiveness of the group took off. The organization changed from dealing with local, independent issues, to handling industry common interest points and best-practices; the group became a valuable resource to the entire spectrum of trade show related businesses.

Here in the 2K century, Trade Show Safety Professionals is positioned to be the best safety resource for any aspect of the convention business. If you represent the largest convention center, TSSP can be your right hand regarding safety development. If you are a one-man-band operation, TSSP can grow your safety knowledge. If you represent a chain of hotels, no poblem -- TSSP is here to help you with your risk management needs. As your business looks to the future, look to TSSP.
