TRAINING & EDUCATION ETS WAMBA AND SONS is a forward-looking company which cares for its employees. Having attained the quality management system standard for 2003-2004, the company has also been awarded The Investors In People standard. The Training Department is part of All Day Safety Services Ltd, a member of the CCMA. It is able to cover all the needs of ETS WAMBA AND SONS through the requirements of the Main Contractors’ Group (BUNS) for Construction Skills Certification Scheme (ADVANCE LEVEL) to vocational courses for all areas of operative, technical, administrative and professional activities. The expertise for these courses will come from both in-house and out-sourced providers.

EMPLOYMENT
At present we have the following vacancies: Project managers Site engineers Foreman Quantity surveyors Senior quantity surveyors As part of our continued development we have the following opportunities within our organisation. ESTIMATOR Your background may be in commercial/industrial or housing projects and you will have several years experience of preparing specialist groundwork tenders from first principals between £500k to £5m in value. Working as part of our pre-contract team at Enfield you will be given support to deliver professional, competitive contract bids to our clients. QUANITY SURVEYORS We have positions for both an intermediate and a senior quantity surveyor. Your background for either role will be from main contracting or large subcontractor organisations. You will have the enthusiasm and professionalism to Ĵ into a pro-active and professional contract team. You will be appropriately qualified or you will be close to achieving HNC, Degree or Professional Membership, and you are encouraged toward following a programme of further or post graduate study for which support is given. PROJECT MANAGER We are seeking a project manager with experience of delivering large and often complex groundwork contracts. You will have the ability to programme and motivate a project team, manage and communicate the flow of information and organise the necessary labour, plant and material resource to achieve the targets set. The above positions carry an extremely attractive remuneration and benefits package. HEALTH AND SAFETY
GOOD SAFETY IS NO ACCIDENT! Good safety has to be achieved. Health and safety is currently one of the single most important aspects of the construction industry. All our operatives attend regular safety training courses and receive suitable training for the equipment they use. We are currently working towards and succeeding to achieve the requirements of the Ministry of public health charter with all operatives having been registered with accordinly Managers are confident in implementing the requirements of CDM and other Health and Safety legal requirements supported directly by our in house Safety Department. Detailed Method Statements and Risk Assessments are drafted after comprehensive discussion specifically for each site, each task and each work environment, then each worker is consulted with during the briefing session. We have a small Health, Safety and Environmental department headed by Antony Day which is responsible for the duties outlined within MHSWR reg7. Antony Day and his associates Carl Wright and Dan Bannister are all full time health and safety professional with considerable experience in construction health and safety. The regular involvement of our safety department in our day to day operations enables us to develop our own safe systems of work that effectively work to reduce accidents and safety breaches to the lowest level reasonably practicable.
